Magnificent, moment-of-truth, powerful, stunning, memorable, breathtaking, wet, interesting, fun! That’s our experience at the Misol Ha waterfalls in the team’s own words! We spent a couple of hours this morning packing to leave our first clinic location. Then, after living in high heat, humidity, no showers, and no A/C, we were refreshed by jumping into cool waterfalls! A first time experience for some of us, but we all came out alive (thanks to the lifeguards and pro swimmers on the team!!).
We had a chance to tour some ancient ruins at Palenque. Climbing through the remaining structures, it is amazing to see that they still exist after hundreds of years. But my God exists and will exist forever! He will never chip away, crack, or fall. He forever stands as a testimony of strength, not of ruin. He has always been here for us, giving us the strength we need to press on. We have seen Him faithful!
These verses came to mind:
“The Lord is my rock, …my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.” -Psalm 18:2
“From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” -Psalm 61:2
That’s our awesome God! And we have the privilege of seeing Him work!
Thank you all for praying. As someone has said, prayer isn’t part of the work, prayer IS the work! Thank you for being part of God’s work here in Chiapas!

Truly magnificent is our LORD God! in ALL His creations, including HIS people =D !!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting these beautiful pictures! We are awed! We are so glad and thrilled to read your reports, too 🙂 Thank you, Hannah! Thanks to Amy and Emma, too for their previous postings … all received today! And many thanks to the great photographers =) They help us to ‘see’ better of the work, people, surroundings, and atmosphere your medical team is doing there in Chiapas. Our church people will enjoy them very much as they continue to pray for you 🙂
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…may you each shine as the brightness of the firmament, turning many unto righteousness!
The blessings of the LORD be upon you!
Love you! <3
Dear Hannah: WOW! what beautiful pictures! I felt the excitement with you.
I have prayed that the medical ministry will bring needed comfort to many people but more importantly that the spiritual encouragement will bring many to salvation whether now or in the future. See you soon, Love, Mrs. Barnett
