To wrap up the story from yesterday, things were finally settled late last night with the owner of the vehicle that ran into Nathan’s trailer. It was a long, long day for Nathan as he handled all the negotiations. In the mean time, once there really wasn’t anything the team could do to help him out, they returned to the Terrells. Here’s Julie’s description of the day:

This team you sent us is wonderful. Today could have easily been awful, but they managed to redeem it! They played with my kids, prayed with us (more than once), and jumped in on a painting project. They’ve only been here 48 hrs and already they have been a HUGE blessing to us. Thanks for sending them!! 🙂

Days like yesterday, while challenging, are not a bad intro to missionary life – where the unexpected happens frequently and trusting God is not just a nice cliche, but a daily requirement.

Understandably, the team was in a hurry to get out the door on their way to the jungle today, but Chris sent me a bunch of pictures to post for the team. They will be gone for four or five days. I’ll post updates on anything I hear from them, but they might not have internet or phone access while in the Tojolobal area. Keep them in your prayers! Jungle work is physically and spiritually challenging.

PS – Henry’s suitcase showed up before the team left! A few Cliff bars had been swiped, but everything else seemed to be there.
